Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to purchases made through The Cope website. Please read them carefully before placing an order.

By placing an order with us, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions. We recommend keeping a copy for your records.

1. About Us & Website Ownership

This website is owned and operated by The Templecrone Co-operative Agricultural Society Ltd, trading as The Cope.

Registered Address:
Main Street, Dungloe, Co. Donegal, Ireland

Company Registration Number: 3724R
VAT Number: IE028400F

All content on this website, including text, images, graphics, logos and other material, is owned by or licensed to The Cope and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.

Content from this website may be used for personal, non-commercial purposes only. It may not be copied, reproduced, distributed or used for commercial purposes without our prior written permission.

2. Products & Pricing

We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, images, prices and other information displayed on our website are accurate at the time they are published.

However, slight differences may occur. In particular, product colours may appear differently depending on lighting, photography and individual screen or device settings.

All products are subject to availability, and we reserve the right to withdraw products from sale or amend product information and prices at any time.

Prices displayed on our website are in Euro (€) and include VAT where applicable.

Where a customer pays using a card or account denominated in another currency, the exchange rate and any associated currency-conversion charges are determined by the customer's bank or payment provider. The Cope does not control these exchange rates or charges.

If we discover an error in the price or description of an item after an order has been placed, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible. We will not charge you a higher price than the price shown at checkout without your agreement. Where necessary, we may cancel the affected item and issue a refund.

3. Placing an Order

When you place an order through our website, you will receive an email confirming that we have received your order.

This confirmation email does not necessarily mean that your order has been accepted. Your order constitutes an offer to purchase the products selected.

Your order is accepted when we process and dispatch it and send you a dispatch confirmation email.

All orders are subject to product availability and successful payment authorisation.

If an item you have ordered is unavailable, delayed or affected by an error, we will try to contact you using the contact details provided with your order.

We will not substitute an unavailable item with a different product without your agreement.

Where only part of an order is unavailable, we may continue to process and dispatch the remaining available items and refund the unavailable item.

If you wish to cancel an order before it has been dispatched, please contact us as soon as possible. Once an order has been dispatched, our Refund, Return and Exchange Policy will apply.

From time to time, The Cope may offer promotional discounts, voucher codes or other special offers through our website, email marketing, social media or other promotional channels.

Unless specifically stated otherwise, the following conditions apply:

  1. Discounts cannot be combined
Discount codes cannot normally be combined with other discount codes, promotions or offers unless expressly stated.

  2. Product exclusions may apply
Certain products may be excluded from promotional discounts, including gift cards, sale items, selected brands, limited-stock products or other products identified in the relevant promotion.

  3. Promotional periods
Promotions and discount codes are valid only during the dates or period stated and cannot normally be applied retrospectively to orders already completed.

  4. Minimum spend or other conditions
Some promotions may require a minimum spend, apply only to selected products or categories, or be subject to other eligibility requirements.

  5. One-time-use codes
Certain discount codes may be limited to one use per customer, email address, household or order where stated in the promotion.

  6. Misuse or fraud
We reserve the right, where reasonably necessary, to refuse or cancel a discount or order where we believe a promotional code has been used fraudulently, improperly or contrary to the stated promotional conditions.

  7. Changes to promotions
We reserve the right to amend, suspend or withdraw promotional offers where reasonably necessary. This will not affect an order that has already been accepted except where there has been an obvious error, misuse or fraud.

Promotional codes offered by The Cope are intended for use on www.thecope.ie unless otherwise stated.

If you have any questions about a promotional offer, please contact info@thecope.ie before completing your purchase.

8. Complaints & Dispute Resolution

We want our customers to be satisfied with both their purchases and the service they receive from us.

If you have a complaint or believe there is a problem with an order, please contact us in the first instance so that we have an opportunity to resolve the matter.
